Our History
PLINIO d.o.o., a holding company predominantly focused on tourism and real estate, was established on September 24th, 2015 by Plinio Cuccurin. However, its roots trace back to the founder’s working experience.
1981
After graduating from law university in 1981., Plinio Cuccurin started his professional career in TDiA, RZ (now Adris Group), in Rovinj.
1990–2015
From 1990 to 2015, he held a series of C-suite positions at Tvornica Duhana Rovinj (now Adris Group), culminating in his role as a Member of the Board and becoming the company’s second largest shareholder. Over the course of his career at the Group, he was instrumental in the company’s growth, particularly by guiding it through its privatization in the 1990s, ensuring its alignment with EU legislation, and establishing collective agreements with employees and management.
2004
Plinio Cuccurin started using his professional experience to help his home village grow.
2005
Thanks to his sustainable vision, dedicated work and leadership skills, he founded Mon Perin with what would nowadays be considered as “crowdfunding”, by engaging more than 50% of the local community.
2015
After having spent over 33 years in Adris Group, in 2015. Plinio Cuccurin decided to embark on a new journey and leave the company.
In 2015. he established PLINIO d.o.o., a holding company that brought together part of his wealth, shareholdings in Mon Perin, and part of his shares in Adris Group.
On November 30th 2015, Plinio Cuccurin founded Foundation PLINIO where he transferred his philanthropic work. The purpose of the Foundation is to promote development and employment in the Republic of Croatia, particularly in newly established and existing businesses in small and medium-sized enterprises.
2021
PLINIO d.o.o. launched his first daughter company, S. JULIANO d.o.o., dedicated to private yacht chartering, as well as became one of the founders and the majoritarian owner of TERRA VALLIS d.o.o., a property development and management company.
Daria Cuccurin Nestorovski
Born on July 11, 1989, Daria moved to Milan, Italy, in 2008 to attend Bocconi University. She earned her bachelor’s degree in International Economics and Management with a major in Economics in 2011. After completing several internships in Italy, she continued her education in Grenoble, France, earning a master’s degree in Finance in 2015.
Daria began her professional career at the consultancy firm A.T. Kearney, where she worked for one year. In 2015, she joined the newly founded company PLINIO and has served as its CEO ever since.
